Iran: For the first time in 40 years, 500 women watch a men's football league game in Tehran.

They carried the Esteghlal Tehran flag over their necks, wore blue and white hats, and some even had the numbers of their favourite players painted on their cheeks.  A review of Week 0's events as the 2022 college football season begins. Week 0 of the college football season is occasionally just a warm-up for the remaining games, but Saturday's games got off to a fast start. As the 2022 season began, a few unexpected games came down to the wire and a few individual performances challenged our preconceptions. Northwestern pulled off the year's first surprise, defeating Nebraska 31-28 in Dublin, Ireland, thanks to an outstanding effort from their offensive line that resulted in 214 yards of rushing. The lone significant upset of the day was achieved by the Wildcats, but fellow underdogs Austin Peay, Florida A&M, and UConn all gave their opponents a scare. The Rattlers destroyed North Carolina's pass defence but were unable to keep up with a thin roster in a 56-24 loss, and Huskies star running back Nathan Carter had 190 yards rushing in a closer-than-expected 31-20 loss to defending Mountain West champions Utah State.
